Birds may seem harmless, but nesting in or around your home can lead to real issues. Their droppings are acidic and can damage siding or shingles, while nests often clog vents, especially dryer and bathroom exhausts, creating fire hazards and ventilation problems. We provide safe removal, cleanup, and deterrent solutions to protect your home and keep birds from coming back.

Across Iowa, bats play an important role in controlling insect populations, but they can become a problem when they roost in attics, walls, or sheds. The most common species in the Des Moines area include the Little Brown Bat (Myotis lucifugus) and the Big Brown Bat (Eptesicus fuscus), both of which are protected and active from spring through early fall. Homeowners often first notice signs like scratching sounds, droppings (guano), or spotting bats at dusk. While they’re not aggressive, bats can carry diseases, and their presence indoors should be addressed professionally. Safe and humane exclusion, especially during non-maternity seasons, is the best way to resolve a bat issue without harming these beneficial creatures.
